4th Year (Modern) Mathematics ~ If you qualify in a mathematics test you have already taken at the state level, you will take this test. If you have qualified in a mathematics area that we are not offering or that is of a lower level and you are an upper level student (eg. you qualify in Algebra I but you have taken upper level math classes) you will take this test. Seniors, if you placed at the HSTOC level in a mathematics area but were not able to take a mathematics test at the regional level this year (because you'd already taken it) you may come back and take this test.

4th Year Science ~ If you qualify in a science test you have already taken at the state level, you will take this test. If you have qualified in a science area that we are not offering you will take this test. Seniors, if you placed at the HSTOC level in a science area but were not able to take a science test at the regional level this year (because you'd already taken it) you may come back and take this test.

4th Year Social Studies ~ If you qualify in a social studies test you have already taken at the state level, you will take this test. If you have qualified in a social studies area that we are not offering you will take this test. Seniors, if you placed at the HSTOC level in a social studies area but were not able to take a social studies test at the regional level this year (because you'd already taken it) you may come back and take this test.

Accounting ~ This test is for first year accounting students. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level. (If there are 10 or more Accounting II students wishing to test at the HSTOC we will add an Accounting II test.)

Algebra I ~ The test is only for 8th grade, freshman and sophomore students who have not taken geometry or Algebra II. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Algebra II ~ This test will cover Algebra II and AP Algebra. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

American History ~ May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

American Literature ~ The test will cover works, authors, forms and themes of American literature. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Art History/Theory ~ 40% of this test will cover the focus Humanities area. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Geography ~ May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Biology I ~ The test is only for 8th grade, freshman and sophomore students who have not taken advanced biological science classes. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Biology II ~ This test will cover Biology II and AP Biology. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Business/Business Math ~ This test will cover General Business, Business Math and other business tests. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Chemistry ~ This test will cover Chemistry. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Computer Science ~ programming not software applications. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Current Events ~ The test will cover events between May 8, 2010 and May 3, 2011. Any student who qualifies to take any HSTOC test may take the Current Events test.

Drawing Competition ~ The test will be a drawing activity. A still life will be provided. Students will have two hours to complete the finished work.

Economics ~ The test will cover general economics. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

English Literature ~ The test will cover works, authors, forms and themes of English literature. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

English Usage ~ The test will cover grammar and standard rules for written and spoken English.

Geometry ~ The test is for students who have not taken upper level mathematics classes. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Government/Civics ~ May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Physical Science ~ This test is only for students in 8th, 9th or 10th grade who have not had advanced science classes. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Plane Trigonometry ~ May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Psychology ~ May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Spanish I ~ This test is for non-native speaker students in Spanish I who have not had Spanish II or Advanced Spanish May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Spanish II ~ The test is for non-native speaker students. May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.

Spanish Native Speaker ~ The test is for native speakers.

Vocabulary ~ The test will cover definitions, root words, word origins, prefixes, suffixes, analogies.

World History ~ May not be taken more than once at the HSTOC level.
