High School Academic Coaches Association Fall Meeting is September 12 at Redlands Community College in El Reno

 

Encyclo-media XXVIII is sponsored by the State Department of Education.  I'll be in booth 908. It is free and it is one of the best conferences of the year!  September 17 & 18

 

Enrollment deadline for Academic Bowl is September 25

Oklahoma Road Rally:

 The online test will be accessible November 1 but will not be due until April 1. The online test may be taken anytime between November 1 and April 1.  Road Rally packets may be requested through mid March.

Scholars Club:

All students that were enrolled in Scholars Club in 2008-2009 will be rolled-up a grade and will have access to their pages by October 1.  New students enrolled by September 25 will also have access on October 1.  New students may be enrolled at any time, however activation could take up to 2 weeks.

Academic Bowl:

Once the assignments have been made, the week following September 25, Mid Level areas will begin having virtual meetings.  They will be followed by Upper Elementary areas then by Froshmore, 4th and 5th bowl groups. 

We will set all academic bowl dates using vyew.com.   In order to use vyew.com, you will not need to download the program but you will need to be running Internet Explorer 6 and have both the Adobe Active X and Flash Player installed. Both Active X or Flash player are free downloads.  You will be joining meeting or session number 901404.

Check the web site regularly.  Once enrollment begins it will be updated on a daily basis.  Check your e-mail regularly.  If it is not something you are accustomed to doing... assign that task to one of your team members.

Online tournaments:

A one week grace period will be given between the due date and the results becoming final. 

Social Studies will become accessible on November 2 and will be due on December 4 , posted December 7 and will become final on December 11.

Language Arts will be accessible on November 2 and will be due on January 8, posted January 11 and will become final on January 15.

Science will be accessible on December 7 and will be due on February 5, posted February 8 and will become final on February 12.

Humanities will be accessible on December 7 and will be due on March 5, posted on March 8 and will become final on March 12.

Mathematics will be come accessible on December 7 and will be due April 2, posted on April 5 and will become final on April 9 .

Sweepstakes will post on April 12 and will become final on April 15.

Tournament of Champions:

Enrollment deadline April 9. We have a new scoring machine this year which requires more data on the forms.  It is extremely important to have all entries by April 9 and changes by April 14.

Friday night testing April 16.

Tournament day April 17.

High School All-Star National Tournaments:

June 12-13 - HSAPQ National All-Star Tournament

June 18-22 - Team Oklahoma will attend the National Tournament of Academic Excellence in Orlando Florida
