What is the National Tournament of Academic Excellence??

It's academic bowl - with a kick - the top teams in the nation - competing on very challenging questions.  Each state is invited to bring one team.  Oklahoma has always had an all-star team.

"Anyway, from a parent's perspective, I felt it was an honor for Matt to represent his state on Team Oklahoma for two different years. Competing with (and getting to know) some of the best students from all over the country is a great experience. He definitely loved it and set his goal early in the year to be able to go back his senior year. I know for Matt, being on the team was one of the highlights of his high school years. "  Sherri Drwenski, mother of Matt Drwenski - 2002 & 2004 Team Oklahoma member

The 2009 all-star team will be the 22nd Oklahoma team to compete in this prestigious national competition.

In the past eighteen years Oklahoma has finished among the top eighteen teams eleven times making the finals twice - 1991 and 1996.
